The tax credit can be carried over in the case that you do not have sufficient tax liability to claim in one year. Credits can carry over as long as the tax credit is in effect.

The federal investment tax credit (ITC) will save you 30% on the total cost of your solar project.

If your utility provider has a net metering policy, you receive credits on your electric bill for all of the extra electricity your solar panels produce.  When your panels aren’t producing enough electricity to meet your use, you can then use those net metering credits instead of buying electricity from the utility company.  This isn’t offered based on location but rather on your utility provider itself.  You’re in luck! CPS does offer net metering.

Solar panels do not use heat to create energy.  So, whether it’s 102 degrees outside or freezing temperatures your panels will still create energy.  They may not produce as much energy as they do when the sun is out but still produce some energy even when it is cloudy.

Solar panels are made of durable tempered glass and require almost no maintenance.  With all the rain we get in Alamo Heights, that’s enough to clean them.  They do not need to be cleaned regularly.
